[Current Music |"The Devil Was In My Yard" - Sleepy Jackson]

University life really sucks. I've still managed to keep up to date with my uni work so far. I have a viva voce to do on Friday on "Admission to Practice" and I managed to spend my weekend travelling with stuff that I needed to read - how sad. People in my Associations class annoyed me with their enthusiasm for instalments of the Corporations Act (Though I ran into someone today who is in my class saying that tutor has a personal vendetta against them). My need for caffiene is growing again and I feel uneasy when I don't get that hit. I almost feel asleep in Criminal Procedure until I decided to throw my 5 cents worth to the tutor and then went back to my little ciesta. The woman who is suppose to teach us Professional Responsibility shows us that she herself has none but trying to offend most people when reading the class roll. She asks Ace whether his parents were playing cards whilst pregnant and offered to call him "Diamonds". And for me as an Asian, I have an Anglo-Saxon surname and someone else has the same surname and so she looked at me and that other girl in a confused manner - "I was going to ask the obvious but I better not..." whilst another girl whispered behind me, "It could be by marriage..." BLAH! I spoke to some people in this class after 5 years of doing Law together and was surprised at there similar views of the course and annoying people. We take a relaxed view on everything and want nothing to do with law whilst other people strive for their best and want to be QCs.

I had an easy one with Belinda on Friday who is sick and probably caught it from me as I had lost my voice during the first week of uni and that kind of stuff appears to be hitting everyone I know. We hung out at her place, watching "Rockstar Supernova" (Totally addictive reality show searching for a singer to front the mighty collaborations of Gilby Clarke of Guns N' Roses fame, Jason Newstead of Metallica and Tommy Lee of Motley Crue). We also hired "Underclassman" and "P.S." whilst dining on kebabs from a place called "Fully Tabouli" - nice name...

I caught a ride with Anna and Peter to Hayden's new place at Gorokan (Thanks Anna!!!). I prefer Hayden's new place rather than the one he was living beforehand. Only major difference was that instead being 2 minutes away, it would now take me about an hour for me to get there from my place. The unit is more warm and inviting and for some reason, he has rails on the sides of the toliet (Apparently, it was suppose to be a retirement village but it never happened). Michael, Epona, Jen, John, James, Melissa and Phillip were all there too. We watched "Rise", "Clerks", "Serenity" and "Stewie Griffith: The Untold Story" and shared Indian food and waffles (I LOVE WAFFLES!!!). There was also a lot of alcohol floating around - had my share of Carlton Cold. It died down around 2am as everyone was so tired. The next day we all went to the Entrance and ate breakfast at Cafe Macraw (?) - plenty of Big Brekkies - YUM!!! There was a small crafts market about where I scored this wooden penholder in a shape of die for $5. It was a very clever design where you stick the pens in the dots - pretty cool.
I got dropped off near Hyde Park, and dropped in on Ace whilst he was working and finally met his sister, the famous Zak, who he always talks about. I see and don't see the similarities in personalities but I guess when people don't feel comfortable around you, they appear to be more subdued - I know I am.

There is the excitement of upcoming concerts that I plan on saving and spending it all - but it will be bloody well worth it. I am planning on going to the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in April (They were a good watch last time and I swore to Belinda that I would go again and most probably in the mosh even though I am short and probably wouldn't be able to see jack all) with Belinda and my brother. I want to go to Big Day Out cos I haven't been to one since 2001 but that all pending due to expectations of a decent line up. I also scored Kylie Minogue tickets with Ace as a way to relax after exams at the end of the year. I used to hate her music but after hanging out with David heaps when the "Fever" album came out and hearing it over and over again, it really grew on me. And besides, the poor chickadee had cancer... an interesting watch.
